Employment Consultant

Our King County team is very collaborative, so we rely on staff to be positive, self-directed and professional as both a consultant in the community and as a team player.

Compensation:

Salary is competitive and depends on qualifications and experience. Entry-level range is between $32,000 – $34,000. The staff person hired can expect to receive annual pay increases based on individual performance, level of responsibility and overall performance of our organization.

Bonuses average $3,500 annually, based on team performance.

Benefits offered have an estimated average annual value of $14,500. Benefits available to full-time employees include:

Medical, dental and vision benefits (dependents receive similar benefits with 60% of the premium paid by Trillium) • Personal leave starting at 18 days per year • In addition to personal leave, full time employees receive 10 paid holidays per year • Extended illness bank for payment of salary during extended illness • Long Term Disability Insurance • Life insurance ($10,000) • Paid sabbatical leave at five year and ten year employment anniversary dates • A 403B retirement plan where employees receive a generous match after the first year of employment • Mileage & cell phone reimbursement

Desirable Qualifications:

Have at least one year of experience teaching skills to individuals with disabilities • Bachelor’s Degree • Knowledge, ability and desire to work respectfully with people with disabilities • Ability to relate to a diverse set of situations and individuals • Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely, orally and in writing • Self-directed and can work independently • Outgoing and confident in approaching businesses on behalf of people with disabilities • Willing to work all shifts, weekends and holidays if necessary.

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Valid Washington State Driver’s License and proof of vehicle liability insurance.
  • Must obtain a favorable driving abstract from the Department of Motor Vehicles
  • Must have private vehicle and willing to use for business.
  • Ability to complete background investigation in order to ascertain whether criminal convictions exist for crimes against persons.
  • Certification in first aid and CPR no later than three months from the initial date of hire.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Employment Associate

Definition of Duties:

The Employment Associate is the key provider of quality services to the customers of Trillium Employment Services.  He/she is responsible for supporting assigned individuals in their jobs, typically in a 1:1 support role. Primary role is coaching supported employees.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities of Position:

  1. Provide on-site support to the individual and employer
  2. Provide training support to individual when job tasks change
  3. Assist with establishing annual service plan goals for the individual with an Employment Consultant
  4. Maintain positive relationships with the individual, employer, and other supports. Communicate any personnel issues with the Employment Consultant
  5. Coordinate with family or residential staff if needed
  6. Implement solutions to transportation issues if needed
  7. TESSA/case notes
  8. Maintain communication with assigned Employment Consultant
  9. Attend meetings  or trainings as needed for Trillium staff or the individual
  10. Carry out additional responsibilities as identified and assigned by Program Manager

Qualifications:

  1. Knowledge, ability and desire to work respectfully with people with disabilities
  2. Ability to relate to a diverse set of situations and individuals
  3. Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely, orally and in writing
  4. Self directed and can work independently

Mandatory Qualifications:

  1. Must possess a valid Washington State Driver’s License
  2. Must possess private auto liability insurance and submit written verification of same
  3. Must experience criminal background search conducted by Washington State in order to ascertain whether criminal convictions exist for crimes against persons. Evidence of such shall constitute grounds for immediate dismissal
  4. Compliance/completion of form I-9, Immigration and Naturalization Services as required by law
  5. Must possess current certification in first aid and CPR prior to working alone with a client.

COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR

FSLA: Non Exempt

Strategic Context:

The purpose of this role is to provide key direction and support to Trillium’s marketing and communications in ways that advance employment for people with intellectual disabilities. This position will include externally-focused activities that promote Trillium’s mission in the community and internal communications that support the organization and staff.

Key Outcomes and Accountabilities:

  • Strengthen Trillium’s position as a business resource to local companies and promote the businesses case for supported employment
  • Increase the tools and materials used by staff for job development and marketing
  • Strengthen Trillium’s brand presence in communities we serve and on the web.
  • Develop and execute an annual marketing and communications plan

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities of Position:

  1. Creates an annual marketing and communications plan for the organization in consultation with the Executive Director.
  2. Oversees the creation, coordination and editing of all agency marketing materials and communication channels including print and online
  3. Assists with visual graphics and data reporting on organizational goals
  4. Develops and manages Trillium’s social media strategy and content with consistent and engaging content for a range of audiences.
  5. Ensures all promotional material and external communications are aligned with Trillium’s brand identity, mission, and are culturally relevant.
  6. Generates story themes, marketing concepts, and campaigns for job development, networking and media channels
  7. Engages and supports staff in marketing strategies that help them in job development, offering technical assistance in marketing tools, branding, and technology applications.
  8. Coordinates media outreach & coverage with media releases, TV/radio interviews, feature stories, and other public relations activities.
  9. Coordinates photography and video for use in publications, media, etc. and manages media releases.
  10. Maintains organization’s graphics and photo files.
  11. Supports staff onboarding in coordination with managers to train on marketing materials, social network applications, and internal/external communication tools and protocol, and messaging.
  12. Manages design, implementation, evaluation of internal and external surveys
  13. Assists with projects as needed to support Trillium’s mission, well-being of staff, and community reputation.
  14. Coordinate internal and external events such as all-staff events/trainings and community engagement events.
