Employment Consultant

Location: Auburn, WA (King County) and Silverdale, WA (Kitsap County)

Full-time

Salary: $36,000 to $38,000/year

Compensation:

Salary is competitive and depends on qualifications and experience. Entry-level range is between $33,000 – $35,000. The staff person hired can expect to receive annual pay increases based on individual performance, level of responsibility and overall performance of our organization.

Bonuses average $1,500 annually, based on team performance.

Benefits offered have an estimated average annual value of $16,000. Benefits available to full-time employees include:

Desirable Qualifications:

Have at least one year of experience teaching skills to individuals with disabilities • Bachelor’s Degree • Knowledge, ability and desire to work respectfully with people with disabilities • Ability to relate to a diverse set of situations and individuals • Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely, orally and in writing • Self-directed and can work independently • Outgoing and confident in approaching businesses on behalf of people with disabilities • Willing to work all shifts, weekends and holidays if necessary.

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Valid Washington State Driver’s License and proof of vehicle liability insurance.
  • Must obtain a favorable driving abstract from the Department of Motor Vehicles.
  • Must have a private vehicle and willing to use for business.
  • Ability to complete background investigation in order to ascertain whether criminal convictions exist for crimes against persons.

Employment Associate

Salary: $34,000 to $36,000/year

Trillium Employment Services is seeking a creative, energetic professional who can assist Clark County businesses in employing people with developmental disabilities. Finance Director

Location: Auburn, WA (King County)

Trillium is a nonprofit helping businesses diversify their workforce with people with developmental disabilities.  Since 1983, Trillium has served job seekers and companies in making inclusive workplaces.  We are hiring a Finance Director to oversee the financial operations of the organization and be part of advancing our mission. Trillium operates in four counties with about 80 staff and this position is based out of the Auburn, Washington office.  We pride ourselves on having quality customer service and a positive workplace (we just celebrated being recognized as Top 100 Places to Work, Seattle Business Magazine). The person in this key role will contribute to the strong operations that allow for quality community services and healthy culture at Trillium.

Definition of Duties: The Finance Director is responsible for managing all aspects of the financial systems at Trillium. In addition, the position provides support to Directors and Managers in the implementation and presentation of information vital to making data-based decisions for the organization.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities of Position:

  • Maintain accurate financial records
  • Manage and monitor the budget process
  • Oversee biweekly payroll and all related payroll tax filings
  • Manage all other taxes, corporate filings, and auditing
  • Oversee operational contracts and manage some related administrative functions.
  • Manage staff pertaining to this role.
  • Carry out additional responsibilities as identified and assigned by the Executive Director

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance highly desired (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of finance/full charge accounting experience
  • Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent people skills, to include interpersonal skills, oral and written communication with experience collaborating in a multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial management and accounting, ideally in the nonprofit sector
  • Demonstrated resourcefulness in setting priorities, proposing new ways of creating efficiencies, and guiding investment in people and systems
  • Flexible and a self-starter; able to manage multiple deadlines and be highly detail-oriented
  • Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a commitment to Trillium’s mission
  • Ability to work well independently and as a collaborative team member

 

Specific duties:

Financial Management/Accounting

  • Responsible for full charge accounting functions including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, managing General Ledger and reconciliation process
  • Responsible for processing biweekly payroll for 80+ employees with QuickBooks; prepare all related payroll tax filings; coordinate with HR accordingly.
  • Prepare comprehensive accurate and timely financial reports, to include internal/external reporting requirements and maintain financial reporting systems
  • Reconcile all bank accounts, AR and AP monthly
  • Prepare annual organization budget and ad hoc reporting for financial discussions, which also includes program budgets
  • Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures and ensure compliance and corrections
  • Coordinate with HR for benefit contracts, policies, and employee elections.
  • Manage fixed assets and depreciation
  • Preparing for the annual audit and work in partnership with CPA to complete the audit process
  • Assist Program Managers with county audits
  • Prepare documents for the 990 non-profit federal income tax return
  • Coordinate year-end 5500 reporting with third party administrator
  • Research and report on relevant data from Quickbooks and SetWorks and other resources to facilitate data-based decisions for the management team
  • Manage staff accordingly
  • Inform Executive Director of needed financial policy changes, financial status updates, and budget deviations.
  • Provides status of the financial condition of agency by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data
  • Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by enforcing adherence to requirements, filing financial reports, advising management on needed actions

 Administration

  • Negotiate and maintain service contracts on equipment as needed (Contracted IT, Telephone, office space, office equipment) and related operational needs of the organization
  • Assure adequate records retention and historical data
  • Prepare and maintain all corporate filings
  • Manage insurance in compliance with contracts
  • Prepares information for funding contracts as requested
  • Responsible for positive communication with all internal and external interactions with Trillium’s finance department.
