We have developed a culture of collaboration and learning at Trillium. You may have a primary point of contact, but behind the scenes, our teams work together to combine strengths and provide quality services. Each member of the team brings a diverse personal and professional background that we hope meets the needs of the businesses and clients we serve.

Nikki Wegner started as a Para-Educator in 2004 working in a variety of non-profit & school district programs for youth with intellectual and cognitive disabilities near Seattle, before becoming an Employment Consultant in 2006 at Trillium, then an ACHIEVE Instructor at Highline College (a post-secondary certificate program for individuals with disabilities) and was most recently the VP of Employment Services/C.O.O. at Morningside in Olympia for over 3 years. Nikki holds a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice from Seattle University, an Employment Professional Certification from Highline College, and a Masters in Public Administration from TESC but more importantly is a mama to twin toddlers. When there is time, she knits, hikes or paints with oils. She is passionate about collaboration with partners to extend quality employment services to people with disabilities (regardless of a funding) and loves meeting and empowering new leaders.

Makayla Lee

Communications Coordinator

She/her pronouns
Makayla joined the Trillium team to help with communications functions. She holds a B.A. from Central Washington University, and studied communications, advertising, public relations, film and video. She comes to us with wide experience in online media and community relations for broadcast media. Makayla has served 2 years as Vice-President of Public Relations for her Toastmasters club and enjoys public speaking. She has an extensive background volunteering and serving minority communities. She shares a passion for advocating for inclusive communities and building awareness; as she feels education is the key to building stronger communities. She has experience working as a caregiver for quadriplegics and caring for elderly adults. On her free time she enjoys crafts, photography, nature walks and visiting the beach.
